Peeps! Nothing says Easter or Spring to me like Peeps!

I anxiously await the arrival of Spring, first come Girl Scout Cookies, then the Peeps!  I buy dozens of both! Dare I confess, I buy dozens and dozens of them!

Spring arrived, while I wasn't looking!

I've been so busy I haven't paid attention to what's going on, right in my own backyard!  When I looked out today, I was amazed!  Birds are chirping, roses are blooming, bees are all a buzz, and most delicious of all, the Lemon trees are in bloom.  The scent of the Lemon blossoms is quite intoxicatingly delicious.

 

Lilacs, one of the springiest of all flowers to me!

 

Lemon Tree in bloom, ummm, can you smell it!  The bees paid absolutely no attention to me.  I'd like to believe they are drunk on the delicious nectar and smell, but, I think they are just working really, really hard!

Ugh, the aphids!  But, they also announce the arrival of spring.

Unwanted Books

I was just reading a post on the yahoo group, Altered Books, from a couple of librarians that have had to send books to the landfill.  As someone who scours the libraries $1.00 for used books racks and usually come up empty handed I would love to see a way to send the unwanted books to people who either want to read them or want to alter them, or otherwise use them. 
I have a feeling that mailing them would end up being cost prohibitive. but....

Anyone have any ideas?
